Question by catchernkeeper: How can I get wireless internet in my new house without having to sign up for a new phone number?
I intend to move, but I only want to keep a cell phone, with no other need to have a “home” phone number unless I HAVE to for my computer and internet service. I plan to sign up for cable, so I am hoping that cable providers are adding WI-FI and broadband services? Does anybody have any information about this? I just don’t want to get an unnecessary phone that I don’t plan to use. It seems a waste if all I want it for is internet use.
I want cable for sure, but even moreso, I want really good, fast, and wireless internet. (Chicago area). Any suggestions??? I have a desktop AND a laptop that is set up for wireless connections.
Thanks

you can either sign up cable or sattelite through your cable or sattelite provider. Cable is better. Or you can call the phone companies and see if they carry dry dsl…this is just the data line comming in not the phone line.
